End of Year Court of Honor

The 2010-2011 Scout Season came to a close last night with a pot luck court of honor.
The food was good, with the best going out to Mrs. Bradley's Clam Chowder.

Plus a special thanks to Tom Fitzpatrick for 12 years at treasure!
Scoutmaster Dick Clarke said he was proud of the year. Plus he let people know he had just finished camping outside at least one night per month for two consecutive years!

Rain Hah! Great Cape Cod Bike Trip!

                       "It's not camping if it's not raining!"

A fine Bike Trip this weekend! While it did rain it did not stop us from doing all the planned adventures and we even got to go swimming at an indoor warm swimming pool.

District Award of Merit goes to Dale Blue

District Award of Merit goes to Dale Blue

For all the hard work that Dale has done for Troop 12 (as past Scout Master) and Knox Trail Council (now a district volunteer) he was honer as one of the 3 District Award of Merit recipients at last nights Liberty District Award Ceremony. Which to show his dedication he also was head grill master for the event.

Picnic/Court of Honor Monday 6:30-Dusk

Court of Honor will be held outside this year, and unlike other years we will be grilling. We will be moving inside if it starts to rain, There will be hotdogs and hamburgers, as well as vegetarian meals. The troop will provide the meat and drinks.

What to bring: Lawn Chairs
Appetizer - if last name is from A- H
Salad - if last name is from I-P
Dessert - if last name is from Q-Z

Shawme-Crowel State Forest - Sandwich, MA Bike Trip

Meet at the Shed Friday night at 5:30

We will be riding a section of the Cape Cod Rail on Saturday, June 11th. The Cape Cod Rail Trail is one of the oldest “converted use” trails in the country. We will be camping at the Shawme-Crowell State Forest Campground, which is near Sandwich. We will be sleeping in tents so make sure that you have good sleeping bags and pads. Please let me know if you need a bike or helmet. Everybody must wear a well fitting helmet. Be prepared for temperatures ranging from 30 to 80 degrees. We might ride the Cape Cod Canal Bike Path on Sunday morning, time and weather permitting.
